(WARNING: Spoiler alert up ahead!)
I am a fan of Iris Johansen's Eve Duncan books. For those of you who don't know, Eve Duncan's job is facial reconstruction of skulls and she specializes in children's skulls. You see, Eve's daughter, Bonnie, was kidnapped and murdered as a small child. Her body has never been found and her killer is unknown. Eve has been on a mission for years to find her daughter's murderer.
Last week I picked up a new release at the library -- Iris Johansen's EVE. In this book, we find out who Bonnie's father is and what he does for a living. It was riveting. I couldn't put it down. It pulled me in and pulled me in until I didn't even hear what was going on in the world around me -- I was living in the story. And it left me hanging at the end....and saying to myself, "no, don't do it! Don't do it!!!" The mood lingered into the next day -- sure sign of a wonderful book!
On the back cover, I discovered that EVE was published in April 2011. QUINN is due out in July 2011. BONNIE is due out in October 2011. Now I have to wait until July. Arrrrrrggggghhhhhh!!!!!!!
